How to Play

Heritage Day Lotto is available exclusively online. You can’t play in-store or via your banking app. To take part, you need to register an online account with the provider that offers the game. Here’s what you need to do.

You’ll need to sign in to complete the purchase. If you’re a new user, registration is a very quick and simple process. There are a wide range of banking options for you to deposit funds so that you can pay for your numbers.

To win the jackpot, you must match all six of your main numbers, plus the Joker Ball, to the winning numbers that are randomly selected in the draw. You win the full R255 million jackpot if you’re the only one to match all the numbers, or share it if there are multiple winners.

There are other ways to win prizes even if all your numbers don’t appear in the draw, and these all have fixed amounts associated with them. The table below shows how many numbers you need to match to win, along with the prize amount.

Prize Division Numbers Matched Prize
1 6 + Joker Ball R255 million
2 5 + Joker Ball R170,000
3 4 + Joker Ball R1,700
