You can buy Powerball tickets offline and online up to 21:00 CAT on a Tuesday and a Friday

Question: Does Powerball have a guaranteed minimum jackpot amount?
Yes. The guaranteed minimum jackpot is R3 million.

Question: How do I win playing Powerball?
There are nine prize tiers for Powerball and prizes are awarded for matching just the Powerball upwards. To win the jackpot, a player must match all five main numbers plus the Powerball.

Question: Can I play Powerball if I do not live in South Africa?
Yes. If you are not resident in South Africa you can still buy tickets for Powerball through online lottery services

Question: If I win, how long do I have to claim a prize?
Tickets are valid for one year, after which any unclaimed winnings will expire.
Winnings for tickets purchased through online lottery services will have any winnings automatically claimed on their behalf by an agent of the service. In most cases winnings will then be paid into the players account for withdrawal or future purchases except where the win is of a high value. In those circumstances a representative from the online lottery service will contact the player directly to guide them through the claims process.

Question: How old do I have to be to play Powerball?
Players must be 18 years of age or over.

Question: Are Powerball winnings taxed?
No.

Question: Does Powerball have a rollover limit or jackpot cap?
Powerball doesn't have a jackpot cap so it will roll over until a player successfully matches the five main numbers and Powerball number drawn.
